I’ve been cutting off the mane from a mcdonald’s pony for the past few months (I broke up with my exacto knife over it and I haven’t touched it since, haha) and I have a bonus to add: be careful. Sometimes the plastic is inconsistent, so it’s hard or soft in some places. Especially since you’re working super small. It’s okay to cut too far into the pony because you can sculpt it back up. It’s much better to accidentally cut off some of an ear than cut your finger.
The tails are connected to the back legs. Keep this in mind when cutting them off, because you will likely have to cut off the tail in multiple places.
